"The evolution of values is a natural and ongoing process, shaped by the passage of time and changing societal priorities. Like a graph that rises and falls, each era reflects its own distinct set of virtues and preoccupations. Today, we seem to be living through a period marked by a collective fixation on speed, superficial glamour, and a desire for instant gratification. These trends, though widely acknowledged, continue to define much of the mainstream cultural landscape—often at the cost of depth, nuance, and meaningful engagement. In this context, art remains one of the few enduring forces capable of offering a deeper perspective. It has always served as a mirror to human experience and a guardian of cultural wisdom. Through the ebb and flow of time, it continues to illuminate paths of introspection, connection, and timeless value. As an artist, I am not immune to the inner tensions that come with creative life—the desire to be seen, acknowledged, or validated. These instincts are natural, but I have come to understand the subtle boundary between creative confidence and ego. True art humbles its creator. The artist, after all, is not the source but the medium through which something larger finds voice. This understanding forms the foundation of my work. In offering this effort, I hope to contribute—however modestly—to a wider revival of artistic sensibility, cultural reflection, and inner awareness that speaks across boundaries and resonates with the deeper layers of our shared humanity. Raga Jaunpuri had been immensely personal and intimate for me to explore through years of my musical learning, I'm humbled to share a short alaap on the Surbahar, as a quiet invocation of its mood and spirit".
