Apart from being an internationally acclaimed performer Rohan is also known for his masterclasses, lectures and workshops over many complex facets of Indian classical music that he has conducted in several ace music institutions including the Santa Cecilia music conservatory of Rome, Giuseppe Verdi music conservatory of Milan, Faculty of arts university of Ljubljana and many more.
His creative and analytical approach to demystify and unfold several deeper nuances of Indian music has enabled easier understanding for students of music across genres.
His lectures often covers topics ranging from origin and evolution of Indian classical music, methods of improvisations, special ornamentations and usage of micro tones in capturing emotions through Raga music, Raga Tala intersections and its beauty are to name a few.

'Ranjayati iti ragah'- The one which colours the mind is Raga
The lecture includes detailed explanation of all constituents and elements that forms an ornate melodic foundation called Raga and Tala along with demonstrations.

The lecture involves detailed explanation of the origin of Indian classical music, the several cultural influences and evolution it has gone through and the formation of two classical forms of music 'Hindusthani' & 'Carnatic' its similarity and differences. The lecture also shades light on the foundation of Raga and Tala concept.

The lecture starts with a demonstration and gradual explanation of the several elements and roots of abstract and yet guided forms of improvisational methods in Indian classical music, it also throws light on the overall spiritual aspect of this music form.

The lecture involves a short performance and discussion of the few existing theories of the origin of the Sitar, the formation of the body and accessories of the instrument, the string arrangements and its significance, playing technic and posture and also a brief summary of its existing styles and repertoire.
NOTE:
Regardless of the instrument or genre it is also possible to learn Indian classical music by methodical process. Courses can span for longer duration, with proper course materials and syllabus for both theory and practical.
